Pekat Group Berhad announced a significant expansion of its large-scale solar (LSS) project in Kulai, Johor, increasing the project’s capacity from 63MWac to 135MWac.
The expansion includes additional engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works valued at approximately RM100.86 million, bringing the total project value to approximately RM186.54 million.
The enlarged project reinforces Pekat’s growing presence in Malaysia’s utility-scale solar sector and demonstrates continued confidence in the Group’s project delivery capabilities.
Once completed, the project will contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s renewable energy ambitions while strengthening Pekat’s order book and long-term growth prospects.
