Pekat Group Berhad, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Pekat E & LP Sdn Bhd, secured a RM33.8 million subcontract from Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd for a hyperscale data centre development in Eco Business Park V, Puncak Alam, Selangor.
The scope of work includes the construction, testing, commissioning and operational setup of earthing and lightning protection systems across key facilities within the data centre, including data halls, mechanical and electrical yards, and supporting infrastructure.
The award further strengthens Pekat’s position as a trusted provider of mission-critical power protection solutions and highlights the Group’s growing involvement in Malaysia’s rapidly expanding data centre sector.
