KUALA LUMPUR (April 12): Petra Energy Berhad (PEB) and Pekat Teknologi Sdn Bhd have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to combine their resources and expertise in the pursuit of opportunities in the design, procurement, installation, commissioning, operation and ownership of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in the market.
Both companies have mutually agreed to jointly cooperate and collaborate based on a ‘contractor- subcontractor’ relationship for the duration of the two-year MoU which expires on April 9 2020, with an extension option to be mutually agreed upon between the parties, PEB said in a bourse filing today.
Pekat is known internationally as the distributor of Sungrow PV inverters and energy storage equipment, and as a solution provider specializing in the design, supply, distribution and installation of protection, earthing, and surge protection systems, as well as PV Renewal Energy technology.
